Privacy Policy
Last updated August 13, 2026
Procut Moulding & Metal Inc. ("Procut," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through procutmetal.ca and our work order sign-off system, why we collect it, and how it is protected, in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA, SA 2003, c P-6.5) and applicable Canadian federal privacy law.
1. Information We Collect
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and billing or delivery address.
- Order details: job/order reference, project name and address, line items, products, quantities, pricing, notes, and any sketches drawn as part of an order.
- Signature & sign-off records: your electronic signature image, the date and time it was signed, and — to support its evidentiary value as described in our Terms of Use — the IP address and browser/device information the signature was submitted from.
- Contact form submissions: whatever you choose to submit through our contact page.
- Basic technical data: standard web server logs (e.g. IP address, page requested) generated by normal site operation. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies on this site; the only cookie we set is a functional session cookie required to keep our staff admin panel logged in.
2. Why We Collect It
We use this information to:
- Prepare quotes, fabricate and fulfill your order, and arrange delivery;
- Generate and retain the signed work order as a binding, evidentiary business record of the transaction;
- Communicate with you about an order, including sending a remote signing link or a copy of your signed document;
- Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form;
- Meet our accounting, tax, and legal record-keeping obligations.
3. How It's Stored & Protected
Information is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored on secured servers with access limited to authorized Procut staff. Our administrative tools are protected by a password with lockout after repeated failed attempts.
4. How Long We Keep It
We retain signed work orders, and the signing evidence described above, for as long as reasonably necessary to serve as our business record of the transaction — including for tax, warranty, and potential legal or evidentiary purposes — which may extend well beyond project completion. Contact-form submissions unrelated to a signed order are kept only as long as needed to address the inquiry.
5. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate (for example, our hosting and email delivery providers, strictly to send order-related emails and host the site), and where required by law, court order, or to establish or defend a legal claim — including producing a signed work order and its signing evidence as evidence in a dispute.
6. Your Rights
You may ask us for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. Because a signed work order is our record of a completed transaction, we may need to retain the signed document and its signing evidence even if you request deletion of other information, to the extent necessary for our legal, tax, and evidentiary record-keeping obligations. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
7. Changes & Contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
Questions about this policy, or requests regarding your personal information, can be sent to [email protected] or by calling (780) 452-0160.
